We create an environment based on safety, respect, and dignity. Our highly skilled staff exercises due diligence to interact professionally and respectfully with women in performing standard protocols and actions that do not intentionally worsen their traumatic experiences. We hold the women accountable for their behavior, while helping them heal and truly rehabilitate. Our comprehensive case management system of approach addresses the complex needs of women and we involve them in case planning with respect to their rights to prioritize which needs to address.
WOHAD commits to eliminating homelessness of women that are exiting the judicial system by providing transitional housing programs that build character and foster personal responsibility.
To be recognized as an international leader in developing transitional role models.
Homelessness is a critical driver of women into incarceration and a barrier to successful reentry transition. Up to half of women who are incarcerated were homeless in the month before their incarceration.
Your tax-deductible donation will help provide stable transitional housing, which can prevent offending and a criminal record that will limit their housing options.
